Notable Lady, R Adios Jersey Lead VanMeter Sales Fasig November Consignment

Notable Lady, a weanling half-sister to Golden Pal by Not This Time.

VanMeter Sales will bring blue-chip offerings to both the weanling and mare sessions of the Nov. 2 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

Notable Lady (Hip 104) has all the components to be a standout of the weanling session, and will be a collectors item for whomever purchases her. By current leading general sire Not This Time—the sire of five Grade 1 winners this year—Notable Lady is out of the 11-time stakes winner Lady Shipman. She is therefore a half-sister to the current leading freshman sire and dual Breeders’ Cup winner Golden Pal, who to date leads his sire intake by stakes winners (3), stakes horses (9), graded stakes winners (1), winners (28), wins (33) and earnings (over 2.8-million, over $1-million clear of Jackie’s Warrior).

There is plenty of potential for updates under the first dam, too. Notable Lady’s 3-year-old half-sister Essential Lady (Essential Quality) has won three times this year and lines up in the G2 Valley View S. at Keeneland on Oct. 23. Their 2-year-old half-brother Stock Rising (Flightline), a $1.5-million Keeneland September yearling, was a promising third on debut at Saratoga before being narrowly beaten in the G2 Pilgrim S. at Belmont on Oct. 3.

R Adios Jersey (Hip 140) is the only filly or mare in the sale currently cataloged in foal to Curlin, representing a rare opportunity to access a breed-shaping sire. The 8-year-old R Adios Jersey brings plenty of appeal, having won four stakes races over sprint distances and seven races in total. Her dam is a half-sister to R Disaster, who has herself won 10 times including this year’s G1 Derby City Distaff S. and G2 Gallant Bloom S.

The graded stakes placed Lady Beth (Hard Spun) (Hip 215) is a supplementary addition to the VanMeter Sales draft at Fasig November. The 6-year-old, who finished third in the G3 Soaring Softly S., is in foal to Nyquist carrying her second foal.

Completing the VanMeter Sales Fasig-Tipton November consignment are weanlings by Gunite, Golden Pal, Cody’s Wish, Domestic Product and Omaha Beach. Inspections will take place in Barn 5 at Fasig-Tipton beginning Friday, Oct. 30.
