Luvwhatyoudo sells for $250,000 in fasig-tipton march digital sale

March 19, 2025

VanMeter Sales got off to a fast start with its debut consignment when the 3-year-old filly Luvwhatyoudo (Uncle Mo--Lady Shipman, by Midshipman) sold for $250,000 during Fasig-Tipton's March Digital Sale to Retem Stable.

Bred by Randall Lowe, Luvwhatyoudo is an unraced full-sister to the dual Breeders' Cup winner and young stallion Golden Pal, whose first weanlings averaged over $100,000 in 2024. They are out of the venerable sprinting mare Lady Shipman, who won 11 times at stakes level including the G3 Royal North S., and was second by a nose in the G1 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Lady Shipman herself sold for $1.6-million in foal to Flightline at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton November Sale. Lady Shipman has a 2-year-old filly by dual Eclipse Award winner Essential Quality who will join trainer Tim Yakteen this spring.

The transaction marked a strong first sale for Headley VanMeter's VanMeter Sales, a boutique consignment offering sellers and buyers a transparent, hands-on approach to public sales. VanMeter's focus on the strategic placement of every horse in his care, combined with his deep industry experience and connections, means that you can count on VanMeter Sales to achieve the best possible result for your horse.
